NEBO Engineering Blog New breakthrough for 3D printing – usable muscle, cartilage and bone tissue! 

A new printer called the integrated tissue organ printer (ITOP) has successfully printed muscle and bone tissue.

It is a pretty impressive engineering feat – they actually designed microchannels to be printed into the biodegradable printed structure of the items. These channels allowed the nutrients and oxygen to reach all of the cells, keeping them alive and allowing growth. A clever solution!
